Privacy Policy
Effective September 3, 2026
1. Who we are
Congruent Sensing Inc. (“Congruent,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a California corporation based in Berkeley, California, USA. This policy explains how we process personal information through congruent.io.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide. When you request a demo, we collect:
- your name;
- your email address; and
- the use-case or other information you choose to include in your message.
Please do not submit passwords, payment information, government identifiers, health information, or other sensitive personal information through the form.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting and service providers may receive technical data needed to deliver and protect the website, including your IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, access time, referring page, and similar request or anti-abuse information.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- review, respond to, and follow up on your demo or business inquiry;
- communicate with you about the products or services you requested;
- operate, troubleshoot, secure, and prevent abuse of our website and form;
- maintain appropriate business records; and
- comply with legal obligations and establish or defend legal claims.
We do not use demo requests to enroll you in an unrelated newsletter or mailing list without a separate lawful basis or permission.
4. Legal bases for processing
Where European or United Kingdom data protection law applies, we process your information as necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, for our legitimate interests in responding to business inquiries and securing our services, and where necessary to comply with legal obligations. We consider the nature and limited scope of the information when relying on legitimate interests.
5. How we disclose information
We disclose information only as reasonably necessary to:
- Formspree, which processes and delivers demo-form submissions to us;
- Google Firebase Hosting, which hosts and delivers the website;
- Google Fonts and jsDelivr, which deliver font and software resources and receive associated network request information;
- our email and other infrastructure providers used to receive and secure business communications;
- professional advisers, authorities, or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and security; and
- a successor in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or knowingly disclose it to third parties for their own direct marketing.
6. Retention
We generally delete inactive demo requests from our active Formspree and email systems within 12 months after the last meaningful interaction. If an inquiry develops into an active business relationship, we may retain related correspondence for the duration of that relationship and afterward as reasonably necessary for contracts, accounting, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and enforcement. Technical and security logs are retained for shorter periods determined by our service providers. Residual copies may remain temporarily in protected backups before being overwritten.
7. Cookies and online tracking
We do not currently use advertising pixels, behavioral analytics, or first-party cookies on this website. Google Fonts, jsDelivr, Formspree, and our hosting provider may process technical request information as described above. Because we do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, browser “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control signals do not change our current practices. We will update this policy and implement any required choices before introducing technologies that materially change these practices.
8. Your privacy choices and rights
You may ask us to provide access to, correct, or delete personal information associated with your demo request. You may also object to or request restriction of certain processing, where applicable. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where permitted or required by law.
Residents of jurisdictions with additional privacy rights—including California, the European Economic Area, and the United Kingdom—may exercise those rights by contacting us below. You may also complain to your local data protection or privacy authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
9. International processing
Congruent and its service providers operate in the United States. If you submit information from another country, it may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or other lawful transfer safeguards.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
This business-to-business website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information, please contact us so we can delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will post the updated policy here and revise the effective date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice where appropriate.
